We should give because God first gave.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
So when we look at 2 Corinthians, it says each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops;
As we grab onto this concept of giving we will see the immeasurable amount of blessings according to Malachi 3:10 -
I am the LORD All-Powerful, and I challenge you to put me to the test. Bring the entire ten percent into the storehouse, so there will be food in my house. Then I will open the windows of heaven and flood you with
blessing after blessing.
